Goodbye Joie, Hello Mr..!?

Warning: Not safe for dieters

I discovered recently that Cafe Joie has closed its doors permanently. This was my one of first favorite cafés to blog or relax in after it introduced me to coffee buns and sweet potato latte  (unfortunately I don't have a photo of their coffee buns), I remember having their stamp card. Cafe Joie had a great selection of pic worthy of waffles.

Green but Sinful

I used to live in Metrotown/Central Park area of Burnaby. Whenever I passed by in front of Cafe Joie I get hypnotized by the whiff of their yummy desserts ordering me to stop and have some of their treats. Aside the desserts, the chill vibe inspired me to start blogging again while enjoying a cup of tea or coffee
But then change happens; Cafe Joie may be gone, and my desire to continue WEGO lives on...

The New Guy In Town

When I saw the Mr. Mustache sign on the door instead of the familiar logo of Cafe Joie has left me with mixed emotions; I am going to miss Cafe Joie, but it's nice to see Mr. Mustache in town, another place that offers my favorites --- cute desserts.

Seeing the heart shaped mousse and bear face caramel --- Mr. Mustache creative desserts captured what my world is all about!

Mr. Mustache, welcome to the neighbourhood.

Cafe Joie is no longer serving their waffles and cute macarons! But I have learned recently that it expanded into Cafe La Forêt
I have been in Cafe La Forêt several times already, I have couple of photos of me enjoying their sweets and their sweet potato latte and loving the overall vibe so far, even my sister brought her boyfriend for some artistic brainstorming. Glad that cute dessert places are here to stay.
